Die erste „Biennale für Lichtkunst Austria 2010“ ist eine nichtkommerzielle Biennale künstlerischer Lichtprojekte. Dabei sind Lichtkünstler ebenso angesprochen, wie bildende Künstler anderer Genres, die erstmals mit dem Werkstoff Licht experimentieren.
