Elfriede Österles Arbeit überzeugt durch eine gelungene Symbiose aus dem postimpressionistischem Pointillismus eines Seurat und der POPART der 70er Jahre eines Warhol und eines Polke. Die Bilder sind vergleichbar mit der Produktion im “village” des damaligen New York. Die Farbgebung der Bilder scheint angeregt von Hochglanzmagazinen, der Modefotografie und den Erkenntnissen der Farbpsychologie. Österles Malerei besticht durch Leichtigkeit, Farbigkeit und einem Strahlen das dem Abgebildeten schmeichelt. Sie schafft es mit wenigen Strichen die Portraits auf den Punkt zu bringen. Elfriede spiegelt in ihren Bildern einen Momentzustand der Seele, der inneren Schönheit, der Ausgeglichenheit, der positiven Gelassenheit, des Glücklichseins.

TECHNIQUE
My theme is movement; vitality and spontaneity govern my pictures. Photography is a means to translate and interpret an observation, not simply to record a moment. The pictures are primarily drawn with India ink and reed pen, or painted with acrylics onto particleboard
or canvas.

SYMBIOSIS
Elfriede Oesterle’s work is convincing because of a successful symbiosis of postimpressionistic pointillism in the style of Seurat, and the 70s popart of Warhol and Polke. The pictures suggest the past products of the “Village” in New York.
The coloring of the pictures appears to be inspired by glossy magazines, fashion photography and an awareness of color psychology. Oesterle’s painting is captivating by its airiness, colorfulness, and a radiance that flatters her subject.
She manages to represent the heart of a portrait using very few lines. In her pictures, Elfriede mirrors a momentary condition of the soul ; the inner beauty, the equilibrium, the serenity and happiness.
