Kielnhofer created his first ‘Time Guardian’ in 2006. In 2012 his Guardians had their big show at the Venice Biennale, where they were distributed over the entire exhibition ground contributing to a very special mood in the town. This entrance was followed by ‘appearances’ at the Art Basel, documenta 13 in Kassel and in many other cities, where the artist placed the figures in public space. This small silver guardian figure is covered with numerous sparkling Swarovski stones.

The sculpture made of plastic cast is in very good condition with minimal signs of wear. It is signed ‘Kielnhofer’ inside and measures 54 x 36 x 34 cm (height x width x depth). (ssc)
